The Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia, as coordinator of the Erasmus+ Project, 2016-1-EL01-KA201-023512 organized the first partners meeting of the project on November 7th, 2016 in Thessaloniki, Greece, at the premises of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia.

The project is funded by the European Commission within the Erasmus + KA2 Cooperation for innovation and Exchange of good practices and realized through the consortium of 9 partners, from Greece, Italy and France. It aims to introduce the ways and modes that specific stakeholders, such as the Department of Primary Education (1)  of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, as well as the School of Modern Greek Language (2) of the same University, the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Western Macedonia (3), the University of Aix-Marseille, ESPE France (4) , the Diktio Alpha (Center for Addiction Prevention and Health Promotion in Western Thessaloniki) (5), H.R.Y.O (Hyman Rights Youth Organization) Italy  (6) and the Cartographic Heritage Archives (7), in collaboration with the Municipalities of Peonia (Polykastro) (8) and Delta (Diavata) (9)pedagogically cope with the refugee flows in the area.

 The main objective of the project is to produce training material and implement it on children, adolescents and adult refugees in the specific hotspots of Peonia and Delta Municipalities of Central Macedonia, aiming at the gradual development of linguistic/communicational and vocational competences as well as students' familiarization with multilingualism and pluriculturalism.

All partner institutions met in order to portray project details and discuss its’ implementation. This meeting was also a great occasion to familiarize and exchange ideas as well as create the best opportunity to establish a common purpose towards effectively completing the project’s assigned tasks and outputs.
